Discrimination
During one of my lunch outings with my office colleagues, I was asked, if being an outsider, I feel any discrimination. And if so, is there any different between United States and European countries.
On the top of this discussion, there is another reason. Indian cricket team is visiting Australia and very exciting matches are going on. An Indian player, Harbhajan Singh was charged to say some racist comments to Australian player, Andrew Symonds.
Luckily, due to work and my enthusiasm to explore, I have been to few places and got some experience with different cultures. As far as my experience goes, I do not feel any discrimination in European or American countries. Till now the major difference I have seen in within India or within Indians. We have such a major caste system in India that the treatment we get outside India is absolutely nothing. The problem I see is, even the new generation people are eager to follow the caste system, which is affecting us for last hundreds of years. British have managed to rule over the India by capitalizing on our difference system. I really wish, at some point, everyone will stand up and try to phase out this system and make a unity India and Hindu community.
