A ‘Just’ new post!
It’s been long since I published anything. Last two to three weeks has been quite handful of work and found it difficult to write anything. Still there some things to do before deadline which is end of this month and God help me with it! I am making an India trip from 7th January to 31st January and this had added more complexity in the schedule.
Meantime, I have finished two good novels, ‘The Bridge across forever’ and ‘Life of Pi’. Till now, I have been reading various kinds of novels like thrillers, suspense, autobiography to love story but above two novels are unique in own sense.
The first novel, The Bridge across forever, is sort of autobiography by Richard Bach who tries to find his soul mate by traveling rigorously. He is a writer by profession and when he gets involved with a woman who is actress, there are pages filled up with their conversions. Both the people have different approach towards the life but the discussion put in the book is truly very interesting. In the end, the Richard who is uneasy type of guy (like Chandler in the ‘Friends’) does everything to repel the woman out of his life to avoid the long term commitments but ends up with staying together for the whole life. They both stop working and become bank corrupt but still their love keeps them happy and satisfied.
Another novel, ‘Life of Pi’, is about a small Indian guy who traps into a small lifeboat with a huge Bengal Tiger in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This boy who comes form the Zookeeper family, has strange name and people make short-formed it as ‘Piss’ which was the subject of amusement in his school time but when he changed the school after insisting a lot, he gets recognition as ‘Pi’. He is originally a Hindu boy but practices both Christianity and Muslim. When their family decides to shift to Canada with all the animals, their cargo ship sinks in the Pacific Ocean and he ends up with the tiger named, Richard Parker in his lifeboat. In the beginning he was afraid of him but they he sees it as his companion and taking care of him. In the book there are detail description, how he survived with hungry tiger on board and how he managed to feed himself and to his companion, Richard Parker. In the end he lands to Mexico and the story ends. This is a unusual story and I am not sure if it is a true one but it is definitely worth reading!
Well, well, so far so good. Hopefully I should come up with some interesting posts in near future. Till then we can think about, ODI of India Vs SA, Earth quake relief in Kashmir, Australia mentioning about a terror treat in India, bombings in Kashmir and Iraq, Abu Salem, dropping temperature in Europe and my parents having trouble to install yahoo messenger.
Cheers
