THE MISSING LINK

The formation of earth was certainly an accidental event and then came life-supporting elements to give shape to the present surrounding and its inhabitants.
"Necessity is the mother of Invention", was practiced by the then developing mankind upon whom the nature bestowed a supreme organ "The Brain". Three/fourth of water and rest all plane was further earmarked "Your Country" and "My Country" and Nations came into existence.
With the progress of civilization it could easily be defined that Nations are not merely the formations of rocks and trees etc, but in true sense they are formed by its citizens and their characters which gives rise to the society that reveals the healthy inputs. Future will be bleak if we do not learn from our past, improve in present and workout for future, a bright future.
Life is a learning process, Purna cannot be defined.
Janaya Devyam Janam- Good citizens make a good nation.

Traditional values and morals teachings inculcated in our society by our ancestors are fast diminishing, may be because of the technological advancement. But the motto of life is not to progress in one good field and abandon the other-then basic traditional values which act as backbone of humankind. But we have made ourselves so much independent that we have shut our eyes towards decline in character, climate of violence, defying of laws, forgotten moral values and discipline, which in combination are polluting the general environment and becoming a cause of concern for handful of sincere constituents – The Gurus.

Gurur Brahama,
Gurur Vishnu;
Gurur Deva Maheshwara
Gurur Sakshat Param Brahama,
Tasmayee Shri Guruwe Namaha!

The dedication and devotion respectively of Guru and Shishya used to carry forward the high order of Shishya at gurukul, has been left far behind, rather are being replaced by new values of Opportunism, Individualism- Mai, Mera, Aur Mujhe. Remember Aiklavya received high order of Dhanurvidhya mere by worshiping the Statue of Guru Dronacharya, so intense was the Bhakti. Today the last resort is to adapt the noble profession of Gurus, as the discipline in the society is yet to get its meaning. Every stage is being lost, what when last stage comes.

Prathma Na Arjite Vidhya
Dvitya Na Arjite Dhanam
Tritya Na Arjite Dharam
Chaturth Kim Karishhte?

The definition of dependency has been replaced by "desire of equality."
To deny is becoming impossible and to reconcile is becoming difficult. The leadership at home as well as at learning solaces is becoming noncommittal, resulting thereby the loss of confidence between the generations and which is damaging the social bonding. The climate of cooperation within and amongst the societies, which could have strengthened emotional and psychological bonding, has impaired. Limitations would have not mind curbing his own needs/demands. Mankind may have enormous power to control over himself is being left behind.

Atmavat sarve Bhutesu,
Yas pasyati sa pasyati.
He alone sees who sees all being in himself.

The submission is neither to criticize nor to curse the darkness around, but to pray Tamso Ma Jyotirgamay. Once the candle is lighted no amount of darkness can engulf it, so let each one of us light one own candle and keep at bay the darkness.

Ensure Success Not Just by Working Hard, but by Working Smart

More adult workers are asking for help, not because they cannot read and are called illiterate but because they are literate and have discovered that working hard is no longer a guarantee of success.

As people of all nations enter into global economic competition, U.S. companies can no longer survive by maintaining business as usual. And U.S. workers can no longer expect to work their way up the corporate ladder through mere longevity. Instead, corporations must adapt to the changing workplace by finding and nurturing employees who are capable of self-development, and employees must recognize that their future no longer lies in performing the same job for the next 30 years.

The "new" workplace needs employees who can embrace change with self-respect, who have the desire to continually improve and who can direct their own self-improvement. The only security in this "new" workplace is the insecurity of change. Employees who learn to adapt to change can ensure success not just by working hard, but by working smart.

Some people have labeled the process "lifelong learning," but I do not believe this term fully explains the evolution of adapting what we have learned to fit in the constantly changing workplace. To succeed in the work force, we must become enterprising learners, who are defined as "marked by an independent, energetic spirit and by a readiness to undertake or experiment."

What to Do
Whatever your corporate title, begin to forget it. Titles are given to people to tell them what they are in charge of. In the work force of the future, being in control will cease to be a skill that provides job security.

The second step is to begin to use a new vocabulary. Here are three thoughts to help lay the foundation as you become an "enterprising learner."

  • "I am part of the transitional generation. I moved up the ladder by showing how well I can control people and processes. But I now must transition away from controlling others and enable them to control themselves. The future demands that everyone be thinking, contributing and collaborating if we are to survive and prosper."

  • "As I learn, so does my company learn. An organization has no more brains than those of its workers. As I go back to school, I am not in the classroom to mimic the professor's brain but to think, learn and create with knowledge. Going back to school is an opportunity to awaken myself and to enter into enterprising learning."

  • "As I begin to create new ideas, I need to help others take risks with their creative thinking. As we all invent, the company will benefit."
