Annoying WINDOWS habit

Every time WINDOWS does an update it makes a point by showing following message,

And within few minutes it shows following message,

Please WINDOWS tell me, what is the point to continue working if you want us to restart our computers within minutes? If we say 'Close' then following window pop ups every couple of minutes!

I feel, WINDOWS is trying hard to show that how ‘cool’ they are but they are lacking the work ethics. They should be honest; apart from telling the consumer to keep working they should mention ‘start closing your applications since the system restart is required!’

Or they should really work hard to solve this restarting the system problem! I mean why I need to restart my computer so my updates are being installed! My advice to them is to be honest with consumer and try hard to solve the problems instead of acting to start!

Year 2007

Here is my first blog of year 2007. Till now I had decided that I will write one blog for each trip but unfortunately I did not follow it up for last few months. The main reason is my Ph.D. thesis. I have been writing my thesis in shifts and did not able to think anything other. It really carries you!

Out of some interesting trips, the one to Madrid and London are worth mentioning. I love Madrid; the city is full of energy and I was amazed to see loads of people on the streets at 3 AM in the morning! I was there for almost a week and utilized that time to roam around in the city. The ‘Tapas’ are really great and this was the 1st time I ate ‘Octopus’; I know some of you will feel yakkk, but I had to try it! If you a vegetarian then believe me, Spain is not the place to be! There are very few options for vegetarian people and those are always very expensive.

I had an opportunity of celebrating 2006 New Year’s Eve in London. It was great; although the function management was not at all good! The roads were full with lot of people and it took considerable amount of time to reach home! But it was definitely worth an experience.
